I am currently learning html as i would like to get into programming is it possible to get employment through self learning?

Yes you can just continue to practice, practice, practice. In addition learn what you want to do int he job market don't want to learn something you don't like and apply it to real world jobs.

Yes, it is. I'm the perfect example. I actually studied mechanical engineering. But with diligent work, patience, persistence and taking initiative I'm not full time employed Software Developer. Within two years I have even become the expert in my team. And in a few months I'm going to be officially a full stack developer (Java, HTML/CSS/JS, SQL) in an international company.

Never give up. Fight for your dream! If I can do this, so can you! :)

hi anthony well i am starting with html as from the resarch i have done it seems to me that you can learn the concepts of harder languages. through gaining knowledge of the concept. how long do you think gaining knowledge etc.. before you could go for a job in this field and show enough for them to consider taking you on as obviously we are learning every single day? sorry for more questions

thank you very much for getting back to me much appreciated. i have a job at the moment that is totally irrelevant but i have a lot of time. which i am trying to put my all into learning these subjects. how long did it take you into this field of work and how did you go about it?

It depends most employers want to the "perfect" Programmer in reality they won't get you need to start small and solve little problems first to get and idea of how a problem is configured. Believe me you will mess up in the beginning but with some persistent coding you can land that job in time. Also expect some pseudocode and code challenges for interviews.

i will have to resarch those i am hopeful i can get into this. i have done extensive research, notes etc before deciding i am going to follow through. I must do this even for myself but at the end of the day i would love to be able to get into this type of work
