Is it possible to be down leveled due to XP loss?

@Gami I too experienced this. I had just leveled then I lost 32 xp from a challenge and then lost another challenge for 32xp after that. I stayed the same level and disn't have to lose my level.

I do not think that's possible... I have got a proof. I just levelled up to lvl 14 and had 3 xp over... Then I lost 32 xp and I had xp below the target to get to lvl 14 but I was still lvl 14..

Gami is right, I reached lvl 15 a while back then lost xp and went under 15k xp but I was not taken back to lvl 14.

ok, I know what the answer is, I just got below 4000 and I am still on lvl 9. They have gave me another 1000 down where level 8 initially started;-) thank you all for your help ;-)

Yes, you will be down leveled. I'm sure. Was between two levels a couple of days ago. Leveled up, lost a challenge, leveled down.

Come to think of it, I've seen people with higher levels that had 0 courses cleared and very little (recent) activity, so I've wondered about that. This answers that. Thanks, Bats.

@Tashi I think that's because of chart we see in chalenges that tells us "You have 5 points to level X" when you lose points below the level you have been at. I've seen that once or twice and I wasn't curious enough to check my real level then but now I see I probably was still at level X while that chart ring was teĺling me something different...

I experience reduction of XP as a result of deduction from my XP.
I lost XP when i loose challenge with lower or same level player
