Is there any way to skip the basics?

I already have a decent understanding of non-class based c++ and I want to skip straight to that, but tapping on "jump ahead" just returns the message "complete the previous course"

Just for the sake of a brief review or maybe get some unseen tips, try to skim those parts. it doesn't take much time.

yes you can. just answer the couple of challenge questions available to ensure that you know your content

Are you sure you are tapping on the first "jump ahead" button?... if you wan to unlock a lesson like the ones at the end you cannot go directly to the closest "jump ahead" button before doing the previous "jump ahead" quizzes in order.
