Why Console Application?

Question

There's a ton of other options there but the tutorial tells us to choose only the Console Application. This might be a simple question but It doesn't make sense if I just keep following the tutorial and understand nothing..

Console applications are the simplest applications to start with. You certainly won't learn everything you want to know on Solo Learn, but you'll get a good start.

In a practical sense, console applications can come in handy when you want to create some simple utilities... eg. something to zip and compress a folder each month. Something like this would be useful in many office environments.

Try building a Web application. You'll have a greater opportunity to explore many scripting and programming languages and put it all into perspective.
