can i observe the changes after applying media query simply by resizing the browser window?....i'm trying bt i see nothing

for example, i have a div for header...

#header{front-family: Georgia;
font-size:100px;}

@media only screen
and(max-width: 480px)
{#header{font-size:50px}}
