Learning by doing is the best approach. Practice.. View other websites' source code and learn the practical use of different html5 features. I learn a lot by using firebug / web developer tools in a browser to try to understand how they did things. (When I'm on a PC).

you should begin by your own website. Create a file text and save it with .HTML and try coding. With <HTML> <body> you'll understand and so remember ;). don't try to learn all at the same time. When you've understood a notion then advance ;)

Don't believe when people say easy, lol. HTML5 is pretty rough don't get me wrong I'm still learning it fully. But what I do is after I complete the program, I redo it 4-5 times to memorized what I learned. Remember, coding isn't hard, just remembering it, now that's not easy.

the best advise I can give is to watch the tutorial once. then open a text editer like notepad. then watch the tuturial again. Do what you tutor does. then skip a day to give your brain a chance to process everything you have learnt. then watch the tutorial again. this is is a good way to learn. take it easy. it takes time to build skills. last but not least ask qeustions until you understand.
