Yes, the thing is that python is very good for scientific and/or mathematical operations, and artificial intelligence needs to handle those things very accurately, so indeed. If you master python then you would be able to use it in AI in a very productive and effective way. But don't forget that key word: "master" solo learn alone won't give you near half the pythons skills necessary for what you want, you should learn a lot more and a lot better
