Can I build robot or machine, etc by using Java Language?

basic repeat action robotics can be achieved through most languages. It kinda depends on end goal. like a 3d printer doesn't run the same stuff as your microwave.
As to any form of learning or recursive update programs python is one of the most practiced in with probably the most customs library's out there. But it is also one of the slower languages to build an "ai" program. Using C++ as your language will take longer to custom build but it has some really nice prebuilt programs.
Your choice as you know what your end goal is but I'm learning python for its quickness as well as really slowly delving into C languages, with a splash of arduino for projects. Take it all in over and over find that one piece to perfect and google lots.
