what is the difference between <br> and </br>

when i used it there is no different it still show same result but is there any difference?

La diferencia es que <br> te abre el código, y </br> lo cierra.

normally </tagname> is used to close a tag but in case of br there is no closing tag so you just use <br>

you hace a bad syntax using </br> this tag has no closing tag just like <img> or <link> the way to close it is <br />, <img />, <link /> but if you don't want to use '/' don't, it makes no difference
