Supercookies - is resistance futile?

Just learned about supercookies and evercookies. Seems like there is no realistic way to defend against them or remove them. Can this be true? https://newsletter.askleo.com/ask-leo-653-supercookies-and-evercookies-resistance-is-futile/

It is true and clearing them is not the option. It requires a legal system of protection, not technical. Anything, I say anything done without the user's explicit consent ought to be deemed illegal, that's the only way if we want not to become products ourselves.

@Kuba if this is user explicit consent we are doomed. This site uses cookies, by contuing to use this site, you are agreeing that we can collect all the data that we couldn't normally collect by law. [Agree] edit: browsing from the live cd is a smart thought.
