What is your favorite movie/series that inspires/inspired you towards becoming a programmer.

What was it about the movie/series that intrigued you?

There are many of them but as @NimWingYuan has said The imitation game is my favorite because it's based on Mr. Alan Turing's life. As he is the father of Computer Science and one of the fathers of Computer.

Silicon Valley and Betas, indeed. (: What I like about these two is the whole dynamic of how programming is represented, with all its positives and negatives and how the characters are handling said ups and downs. Also, this whole battle for fame and creativity seems pretty realistic.
Unfortunately the rest of the series that involve programming tend to focus on different subjects (e. g. IT crowd, Mr. Robot).
