I would prefer Sublime Text as it has every feature one text editor should have. It's easy to use. I am telling this because I also use Sublime Text only.

I thought as much that it would be HTML & CSS.

I should let you know that even for all you've mentioned and much more, you'll get that in Sublime or VSCode editor. Even an HTML boiler plate on the fly. @Jesse

@peppergreen2. Almost all 21st century editors have such extensions that allow you preview your code without a browser. Atom and VSCode is one. Good choice there.

Sublime is good and one of the best... But bracket is also nice cos you can preview your html on without a use of a browser

I use Notepad++ for HTML and CSS. Atom is also good because of it's extensions and looks really cool with the multiple windows/panes

Used both Sublime and Notepad++ for web. While both are good, Sublime is what i prefer.

TBH I found Brackets provides a great non distracting coding experience.
