Request to Mute Threads

Question

Unless I missed something, I'd like the SoloLearn dev team to add the ability to mute/unsubscribe to a thread. I'm sure most of you agree that unless someone posted something @you, you don't really care that someone you don't know posted in a thread you haven't viewed in over a week. Nothing's wrong with off-topic chat but I don't care about the last >200 alerts about the birthday thread or the introduction thread. I've had to turn off push notifications because of post floods. Please add this feature.

you could tap on the star icon near the question to make it grey for unsubscribe. it looks blue for questions to which you are subscribed.

@Jamie I'm not really sure about this. The star should solve everything pertaining to your queries in this thread. If you are still receiving notifications for unsubscribed threads, you might wanting provide a feedback to SL. In the meantime, you may go to the app settings, and turn off push notifications.

I currently have everything turned off for the section. Ever since I did, SL is much, much more peaceful, I have to say.

Turned off push because of this, the problem is my app itself. Has an inbox-type thing. But I think I know what's causing it. There's a delay. It seems to be working (3 notifications when I logged in) now. I noticed the delay because your comment was not in this thread but in my feed. When I clicked, everything synced. It may be my country. South Africa has really shitty mobile ISPs but landline (which mainly the wealthy use) is going fibre optic. Data costs on mobile are high too. And my country just got declared "Junk Status" (we should get a badge) so mobile will probably get crappier, lol. Oh well, that's life, what doesn't kill you...etc.

I'm still getting notifications and the star is grey (off)? Update app?
