Ubuntu vs Kali-Linux

I know this is a very old question, so I don't want all details. All I want to know is: 1. Kali comes with hundreds of builtin tools. If I install these tools in Ubuntu manually, does it make any difference? 2. Does kali provide more freedom than Ubuntu(freedom to control machine/device)? 3. Are there any other major differences between them(except UI)? If yes, which one better?

It depends on how you intend to use your Linux installation. Kali comes prepackaged with a suite of tools intended specifically for security and vulnerability testing. You can install those same tools on any linux distribution. If you are just looking to simply increase security on your linux installation, I would recommend installing SELinux, which is available for Ubuntu, if that is your preferred flavor. More information on SELinux can be found here: http://selinuxproject.org/page/Main_Page Information for Debian-based kernels and SELinux: https://wiki.debian.org/SELinux Due to the overwhelming numbers of Linux distributions, I would take the time to research how you intend to use Linux. There are quite a few distributions that are specialized for specific purposes.
