hey dude java is a quite essential for any new development but as like every languages java also has some bugs so that are rectified in kotlin point of view.if we copy java code to kotlin it converts automatically to kotlin .but as google announced now onwords kotlin will be used for further development for android .to fix your further issues follow the below link
