this is only possible with root if you are a newbie don't even try this you may damage your friends phone

well if you don't know that you need root to shotdown a phone you don't have a lot of experience you can use reboot -p , the p stands for --poweroff you can do really bad things with this if you set your app to run at startup this will make the phone inuperable it's not a clever prank there is better pranks turning off the phone it's just silly
