Can you suggest any laptop or computer that fits for programmer

next month i will further my studies in IT and programming and since my current laptop is really outdated. i am thinking to buy a new one. so any suggestion or any good specs that i should have for my new laptop?

Am using HP 2000 notebook pc which is corei7. 8gb ram. 2.4ghz. 500gb hdd
and its working out for me

Any laptop with like Intel i5, 4/8GB RAM, Graphics doesn't really matter unless you wanna access GPU. And 500 GB HDD, or same in SSD if you can afford it
