What is the formula (or idea) behind the XP value gained/lost with each Challenge?

I was wondering what is the formula behind the XP you Win/ Lose

I guess it uses the level and knowledge of both players but it still seems pretty "random" to me.

I Would appreciate some light.

Well, as your XP increases in a particular language, more XP you can lose in a challange and less XP to be won. For example, I got 3500XP in Python and I get 1XP for a win and -32 for a loss... If you play against people who have more XP then you have, you could win more XP if you win
