I don't understand your language, but I know what colspan is.

Lets say you create a table and you have 4 columns. Now lets say that you want to make the first row span across the entire table so you can make a title row or something like that. You can set colspan to 4 in the cell (td) of that first row and it'll cause that single cell to span 4 columns.
