Would you consider Java a C language?

Question

I have been thinking about this for a while now, we all know that Java and C# was developed together alongside each other as rival languages by Sun and Microsoft.
But since C# and Java are both Object Oriontated Programing languages, and C# is a descendend from the C languages, would we consider Java also part of the C family?

Simple answer: Yes.

Complex answer: Java and others inherited C-style syntax. "C-languages" is a poor descriptor. Prefer "C-Descendants" IMHO.
