How to use notepad plus plus on computer

Question

I downloaded notepad plus plus tried to run the program hello world have done everything but I can't seem to make it run I don't know which button to push I don't know if I'm doing something wrong would appreciate a little guidance something about a compiler and at the beginning of this course I was told to download Notepad so I have both notepad ++ I have a Toshiba 2 in 1 satellite radius I could run it on the command prompt couldn't get it to work either

CMD can be used for compiling ur program.. but to write your code u need a text editor that can be notepad or notepad++ or Netbeans or visual studio or Eclipse..
but to run and compile your code you need to have the compiler for the following language..
so for c++ u need to have a compiler installed in your pc.. search on google for c++ compiler for notepad++

this is a question you can help me for later but have install ADB and I've tried for like a year I could get it to recognize my phone finally did but since Google and Microsoft seem to have their own version of SDK I'm still working on that one also I like the challenge
