Comparing computer science is like comparing it to any other field of sciences lets say Biology. Nobody can truly call themselves an 'expert' in biology because there are hundreds of fields in biology for every species. There is a field of biology that studies lifeforms in the depths of the ocean and another field to study lifeforms in volcanic regions and so on and so forth.
To truly be an expert one must narrow down and specialize in a particular filed to become an expert in that are.
One advice I would give you is to explore the various languages here in sololearn and code in those languages the projects that you like the most and find most interesting or satisfactory could be somehing you could learn further to become an expert in that field.
Hope this helps, Cheers

I am not an expert.
while there are new programming skills to learn, I will not be an expert.
computers and related studies is a massive field. programming all those computers is a very large field too.
even when you narrow things down to just games or just smart phone applications you still have a huge number of companies who might employ you.

The computer science is a very vast field and programming is not the only way into it, what I am trying to say is that being a programmer does not have to mean that you are going to be a perfectionist in every path of computer science. But having a knowledge of programming is always a big credit to have while studying computer science. I am in no mean an expert programmer but I am trying to be a good programmer which will help me a lot in my studies as an computer engineer specialized with app development and eventually in my career too.
I encourage you to learn programming as long as you have the interest and I hope you good luck.
