How much of java should i know before moving onto android?

Do i need to know how to code gui aspects in java like that of : import javax.swing.JFrame;
import javax.swing.JPanel etc ?Or can i move onto android now? [My goal is to develop android applications]

Android doesn't use any java elements for UI like Swing. Android uses XML to design the UI with its own components such as CardView, TextView.

These can be accessed via Java to dynamically change their behaviour.

So no you won't need to learn Java UI.
