My first home computer was a Commodore Vic-20. It had 3.5kb of usable RAM and it was the first machine I learnt to program using Commodore BASIC.

My first computer was a TRS-80 Model 1 with level I BASIC. It had 4K bytes of RAM and the CPU was a Z80 (8-bit microprocessor) running at 1.77 MHz ... and that cost me $600 in 1980. http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=409&st=1 (So, my phone is about 1000 times faster, and has about 1000000 times the RAM versus my 1st computer and cost about the same.)

@Melih No. I sold it more than 30 years ago. That one taught me much about optimization (because of having to work within its limitations). But I'm happy to be spoiled by the power available to me today. So, I don't miss it. However, I did dig up some ancient code from that era that I did keep around... and will be resurrecting it (converted to Javascript) as an island adventure game. Thanks for reminding me! :)
