How to save checked boxes and data that's entered?

I'm making a rudimentary character sheet for DnD 5e because I hate how the official fillable document is laid out. I'd like to be able to fill in boxes, but my issue is I can't figure out how to save the page's status and all the data entered into it so I can load it back up another day and carry on without completely refilling the sheet. Any ideas?
