Why we do not get points for correct answers in a challenge which is declined by the other person ?

@Gaurav I got your point and now there's one more problem SoloLearn going to solve. Please give us the EXP for correct answers from declined/expired challenges as well! 😂

@Sapphire yes, the approach you suggested is practically not possible but they should come up with a better solution.

@Gaurav
It's possible and practical. Sure both sides can't do anything till the other accepts, but it solves the issue of the challenger wasting their time for nothing. There's obviously a better solution that I'm too tired to think of. X.x
I agree the challenges need reworking
I disagree with the rewarding approach is all

@Sapphire so you finally agree the challenges need rework. Then you should atleast upvote my question. Thanks in advance. 😉

@Sapphire are you a Woman/Girl ?

@Sapphire nothing wrong but in that case I'll put my hands down. 😅😅😅

Now its really getting annoying, when you invest lot of time in challenging others and what they just do is decline your challenge. 😡😡😡😡

Also for the ones that expires?

It make sense if you think it like a tournament. You'll obtain score only when both parties agree to take part in the challenge.
John Doe: "I can get 100% shot and I'm going to challenge you MJ!"
Michael Jordan: "Nah!"
John Doe: "You lose man." (and tell everyone that he beats MJ 😂)
P/S: You don't get/lost score for expired challenge as well.

@Joni yeah I think someone from the development team should look into this matter.

@Zephyr dude in a tournament you are automatically sent to the next round if your opponent is not ready to compete.

@Zephyr My point is they are awarding the points for correct answers even if we loose the challenge then why not for the challenges that the other person has declined or expired due to the absence of other person.

Regarding expired challenge, it will be a little bit unfair for anyone who decided to take a break from the app. Just imagine someone get spam by challenge requests but didn't login for a week and found out the account drop to Level 1 due to EXP lost! 😱

@Zephyr we are not talking about deducting points but for the points of correct answers which they also award even if we loose then why not for declined and expired challenges.

@Zephyr 😅😅😅

@Sapphire its not that silly, I spent a lot of time answering the questions right and after waiting for the opponent what have got if he/she declines, absolutely nothing.

@Sapphire I am not bothered about the expired ones but if a person declines a challenge than the next person should atleast get the benefit of his correct answers. I think you are not getting my point.

Well logically speaking for a challenge or duel in general, both parties must agree to it. It doesn't make much sense for the challenger to be rewarded if the person they're challenging doesn't even accept your request.
Why should challengers get XP in any form in the person who they're challenging doesn't even accept? Regardless if you went ahead and did a bunch of questions and got them right, they have yet to accept this in the first place.
I mean sure they could implement this, but it'd be very easily abused if the other party doesn't need to be involved. Seems kinda silly.

@Gaurav
It is silly. Because sololearn would just set itself up to have challenges abused. What would stop me from spamming inactive people I come across with challenges and completing the answers, getting xp, and not having to care if they accept or not.
The point of "challenges" is to have you verse off against another person and be rewarded for winning against them. Giving XP regardless defeats the concept entirely. lol

@Gaurav
No I understood your point. I have no difficulty comprehending it. So since expired ones no longer matter, let's explore declines. Why should you be rewarded? The mini game is a verses. Two people play, the winner gets XP, the loser loses XP.
I understand perhaps your approach, that even if one side declines, you get the xp from the questions you answered.
But the solution is just a bandaid
I don't think neither side should be able to do any questions till both parties agree and perhaps given 1-2 days duration to complete your side of the questions. This would work since there is already a built in timer per question, so it has no effect on the game itself. This doesn't waste neither side's time, unless the other person is inpatient and needs that 7xp right away.
