Select one major language to master it :
Java - if you like android development
C++ - Games
Php - Back end
Html, CSS - web development
** Make sure you don't try too much expert/master in one language is far better than knowing little bit of everything.

1. why you learned programming language?
2. what language you like most?
answer 2 question above by your self and you'll know what language you want to continue.
i have faced same problem like you, but i answer 2 question above by my self and i choose what language i liked, so i learn html, css, js and i want to be web developer.

yh me too when I started in February 2014.i started with C/C++ because it was highly rated.infact it is everywhere, used libraries,Core n kennel of OS,OS(Windows, Linux,iOS n OSX (C and objective C), Android OS(android is bases on Linux hence larger part was in C and some C++). ) Non-graphical n Graphical User Interface Applications.
But look here,it was a bit confusing,so I looked for a language that tries to reads and sound as natural as the English language and which has GUI builder and that has large community base,more resources (tuts), easily find complicated codes online.
So there I found VB.NET language which had the Visual Studio IDE with a simple drag n drop GUI builder.that was it problem was solved. alert me if u have any questions.(aduclement7@gmail.com)
