Is Ruby worth learning?

Hey everyone, I am looking for a first programming language to learn. I have been learning Ruby but it seems like there could be better programming languages to start with. I'm looking to code for mobile apps or video games. Any suggestions?

ruby is worth to learn if you aim to use ruby on rails as a backend developer ... also it is great as a fast scripting/scatching language plus it is great for textprocessing or IO ...and overall it is always an advantage to know more languages ...in my opinion: totally worth it!

For mobile apps the best would be:
Java or Kotlin for Android
Swift or objective-C for iOS

For video games:
C# or C++ and Unity/Unreal engine (if you aim for 3D).

It doesn't mean Ruby is not good for this. It is just not the best - at least for what you want to do.
