How to be in depth to security analysis....i m good at coding....but want to find loop holes in software and want to help the people to secure there relevance.......where to start and so on process to become security analyst.....help me guys...

I remember my network security professor say that most programmers are "absent minded when coming to security of programs" and "they're always forgetting to lock out special characters when requesting user data entry." this was supposed to prevent injection of code( I don't know how to block special characters so please send ask me). On a side note do your research when it comes to network programming, especially when it comes to port numbers. hope this helps.
