Start learning JavaScript first. Nowadays JavaScript is on high demand in the market. Using JavaScript you can do server side as well as client side programming. After getting comfortable in it, start developing your web apps with Node.js as backend.

java and javascript are 2 different things. Java is programming language and Javascript is more scripting. Dont get confused with JavaScript having Java tag in it. It just relishes the Fame of Java. both are completely different things. you dont need to know one to learn other.
