I want to learn coding in order to come up with unique apps I can run on Windows or Android. Where do I start?

if you want to make android apps you will need to learn java and xml (similar to html) if you master 1 language which will take a while learning other languages will be easier, and yeah I agree with Chris start with java

You should learn hybrid apps. These are web based apps that are platforms independent.
