More quickly how? (parallel assignments)

Parallel assignments are quicker how? Just because it's easier to type or does it actually take less clock cycles to do all the assignments?

Andrew,

Parallel assignments take a longer amount of time to run than separate line assignments. However, parallel assignments seem to be more efficient in terms of the number of lines of code needed to complete certain actions.

I have posted a speed test created by greyblake that demonstrates this in my code section.
