@Charan... I've worked closely with Microsoft and their various product dev teams for many years and can say, C# was and is, without a doubt, the brain child of Anders Hejlsberg.

I'm curious about where you got your information from about James Gosling. That would be hilarious to read. Especially since James was so critical of C# when it was first released.
