Can someone please guide me where I can get open source projects?

Currently I am not that proficient in programming so I am looking for help like someone could tell the sites where I could get open source projects for beginners or just a little bit above beginners.

GitHub Definitely is Awesome but currently I don't have that much experience to pick up code from their and start working on.
So I'm looking for sites which gives someway easy projects to get started with.
