Fundamentals of Programming (Basics) instead of pointing on one language, it should be something like global knowledge to learn, and user will be able toto decide after knowing the whole concept, which language he/she prefers most. I am just sharing my idea to you, guys. Sorry, if it doesn't make sense. ^_^ Hope, it does. Thanks.

Robert Sedgwick's Algorithms book is justly considered one of the best. He is an expert in the field but he's also a great teacher. Recent editions contain complete and beautifully coded implementations in Java.
