I want to learn Javascript, can anyone recommend a fun thing to build for a beginner? And what frameworks and things like that?
I have been doing a little C++ just for learning programming but someone recommended that Javascript would be a better langauge. I want to learn Javascript but I also I want to build something and not just do tutorials but I have no idea what.

I want to be a programmer, a friend of mine suggested that I should just build something thats why I asked this question.
I have just done C++ tutorials on Youtube and here to just understand the basic concepts, but I heard Javascript is a better language for a beginner than C++ so thats why I chose it.
Im thinking of applying to Computer Science in like 1 year so thats why I really want to learn Javascript right now.
Should I just pick the latest framework and start from there just building?
This community is really awesome by the way, I hope I'll be good enough one day and be able to help other people in this community.
Thanks really!

c or js...
Whatever, they both great, but yeah, friend was right,JS much more friendly for beginners.
About frameworks - better make something without it,youll need native knowledge anyway, then choise any you'll like, there's aloooot of them for different purposes.
I can suggest CodingTrain channel as great start (uses p5 library, but for sure here you'll learn native js too)

A calculator perhaps? There are many tutorials out there as it is a basic thing to start off with while introducing conditional statements and how Java script, Html and even Css can be combined together. Good Luck

make game :)
Its much more interesting...but your own, from your own ideas.
Just with simple shapes to practice

Yep,it could help.
I suggest game instead of something like calc cause its much more about logic and PROGRAMMING instead of just workong with HTML elements (DOM)...
But decision on you,who you want to be - web developer or programmer (in JS as option)

You can get ideas from Trending codes and from Q&A section
