i feel most coders end up being hackers... it's like an uncontrollable pull 😅😅..... or is this just another myth?

Nope. If anything, it's the other way around. Most people that want to become hackers end up learning how to code at some point. Then they learn more and more, realize their thoughts were childish dreams of a kid because they were sold on the idea that you're cooler, and then focus on real professional stuff (such as cyber security) instead of being a nuisance.
However, everyone is their own individual with all of their own individual ideas/beliefs, so I can't speak on why people choose that route or not. For myself, when I was in my early teens, I thought it was cool because I watched stupid old school movies like....Hackers. I was just being a dumb kid and messing with people because why not? However, as I got a little bit older, I started putting what I had learn to good uses instead of being a pest to others. Now I'm a professional doing stuff completely unrelated to hacking, but are skills I learned from that time.
In the end, I can't tell others what to do, but don't become a hacker just because it's been glorified in your head. Become a hacker because your family got some strange illness and it depends upon you to hack into some system that has the antidote. If that's not your scenario, join the light side instead. :)

coding is exciting but hacking is exhilarating atleast until it becomes dangerous

it all narrows down to personality brother haha...
but I support AgentSmiths' arguement as well as it relates alot to who I am as well, I never intended to be a software developer at first ,I was focused on learning penetration testing techniques until I realized that I'd have to be a good programmer in order to be this guy..Now im sold out on the idea of being a software developer as I have learnt so much on my journey that I got to embrace the art :)

Hacking is basically asking this one question, “How do I get past this?” Hackers seek knowledge and don’t hurt others in the process. Those who use coding and programming to steal and hurt for self gain are called crackers.
