For a fresher what skills does he need to adapt to become a good coder/programmer?
If I want to start my career as a programmer how should I start my journey as a learner, and how should I work in a company after that.

You must choose what field you wish to major in.
Web Development, Software Development, Security, etc.
If you want to make websites, then learn any of the three core web development languages: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (SQL and PHP would be good too). However, never... and I mean NEVER try and learn more than 2 languages until you are considered a professional. This is because it could very easily clog your memory.
If you want to write programs, games, applications, etc; learn any of the core Object-Oriented Languages: C++, C, Java, Python, etc.
Keep in mind, that all careers in programming have certain qualifications. You don't want to learn a language you don't need in that job!
Hope this helps! đ
