Must I have a laptop to learn coding?

Yep, I suppose you should have a laptop or a desktop pc. Coding on a tablet or smartphone is too slow and unhandy.

After all, coding is typing. typing on a smartphone or tablet is a pain in the ass.

On top of that, your main tool, the IDE will only run on a pc / laptop. There are some browser based IDE's out there though.
