HTML Basics Module2 - ? Usage of Commands Instead of a Classical Text Editor ?

Please, can anybody explain, why do we need to bother and lose time with different settings of head, titles position, font size, alignment and other attributes - instead of using a classical text editor like OpenOffice or MS Word and all the formats saved as a.e. *.js extension? And in a command line of HTML either to have as a source - quote src or any other command or automated-coded command or links that automatically saves our settings from the listed text editors and just quickly applies it in the web building?
