Just to make it clear, i watched a youtube vid and on it, when the guy typed in localhost, he was directed to a xampp page where you could access different information like security etc

i dont have a project as of yet, im not working on a website. I just installed xampp and watched a tutorial where a guy installed it, started mysql and apache and then typed in "localhost" into the browser and a page appeared. When i type in "localhost" , that same page does not appear although it should. Rather i get directed to the xampp dashboard which is not right.

etc.
Should i delete all the files?

You have a project? Htdocs is your project folder. all your images and php files must be in there
