Which is the best programming language to start with?

I have almost finished html lessons.pls guide a bit.

For what platform? Web? App? Desktop? etc.. HTML goes great with CSS3 and Javascript. That would be a front end web developer position. Add Server knowledge with Database management and admin tasks etc... that would be a full stack web developer.

why would you learn php? He is better off with nodejs, bootstrap and jQuery along with an up and comer Vue.js
