How does one set up the frames/frameset and what does it look like?

I understand that frames/frame sets aren't supported in HTML5, but I'm not seeing anywhere on how to "try it here" or a full showing of how to set it up and what it looks like. because of the HTML5 thing, is it not commonly used now and essentially deprecated or something? what does it actually look like on the page when you click the go button to view it like a website? Any clarification is much appreciated.
