What can i do with programing?

Hi, i'm a nurse.
In my field, there are few people who are interested in programming But I like it and I chose to start Python...
But sometimes I tell myself that I'm just wasting my time :-(
But my big question is how and where I can use it ???

Anything you enjoy doing is not a waste of your time.

You can use it everywhere. Sort files, crunch numbers, etc
