In sololearn if you want to win challenges you have to be fast in math. It gives less time and hard maths. But it is a good practice. It will make you fast thinker which will help you solving problems faster. It also increases your compilation skills. By taking more challenges you will be good at math and also at programing. Math is not hard at all. Solve mathematical problems and try not to use calculator. Trust me mathematics greatly increases one's programing skills. Just think that it is the easiest thing in the world.

There is a difficut question. Of course you have to have some knowledges of mathemac to programming. But not need "to be the best in mathematics", because a programming uses often another algoriitmus then a mathematic study.
But, "to known mathematic" or even "to be the best in mathematic" does not to ensure to know all programming languages ..Because they contain not only a mathematic formulas, but more and more other from programming theory

I'm a very beginner but think that not math skills are essential to be a good programmer/coder. Much more important is ability of logical thinking.

I believe knowledge of mathematics provides a lot of benefits when coding. However, the only thing that matters is knowing how to code and knowing how to approach every challenge that comes your way. My brother's knowledge of math far surpasses my own, but he literally doesn't know anything about coding yet.
