Copyright's developing an App

I would like to know if it is allowed to create an app using, for example, some of Donald Trump's phrases, including his voice. Will I have issues publishing?

There are already Donald Trump soundboards on the playstore. Phrases used by Donald Trump can't be copyrighted. In the US, Audio recordings are protected by copyright, so technically you'd need the copyright holders permission. Recordings of the president speaking often fall under public domain though, so you should check where the audio comes from and see if you can find a license. If you wanna be safe, don't do it. However, I'm pretty sure that Donald Trump has better things to do than suing someone for using his voice samples. If you'd get issues, it would probably be just a cease and desist letter, which would require you to take the app down. Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, this is not to be taken as legal advice.
