What is the programming language we use in our MATLAB codes?

I'm a beginner and I just know some C and MATLAB. I want to know about the programming language we use in our MATLAB codes. Can anyone help me, please?

@NezhnyjVampir Thank you so much. I always thought of both C and MATLAB as two of the most used programming languages but when I didn't see any courses for them here, I found out that I have been wrong.
