Swift? Future?
Is swift really ever going to become one of the more popular programming languages and is it worth learning it? Any feedback is welcome :).

I don't think so. I think Swift is simply going to replace Objective-C and no more. The fact that Apple doesn't provide cross-platform compilers is an indication that they don't intend for it to be a mainstream language.

I feel like it could be if Apple would cooperate, but all theyâve done was make it very difficult to run on anything but iOS devices, until recently it was impossible.
