Jonathan, just let it be known that I really like you as a person and enjoy the conversation I had with you yesterday. lol With that being said, you all are just as annoying/spammy when you all start copy/pasting your nanny posts or linking up threads to other threads. I get most of you are just trying to get the badge, but woooowheee! :)

Anyways, he is basically asking if he should learn PHP or JS and what the difference is going to be between than and using JS with JSON.

First off, learn jQuery also. It makes a LOT of stuff related to JS a whole lot easier, especially in regards to AJAX and callbacks in general. Also, it's worth learning both PHP and JS unless you plan to learn something like NodeJS for your backend programmming.
