Is javascript needed in android programming

i want to know the extinct of javascript and its scope in different languages

There are two types of Android or iOS Applications
1. Native
2. Hybrid

If you want to develop native app you need JAVA or other object oriented languages.

Whereas when you come to Hybrid they are Webview based. You can develop them by using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other web languages
